Message from GRS Acting Director
Prof. Peter VonDoepp,
Dept. of Political Science

Peter VonDoepp

I am quite honored and thrilled with the opportunity to serve the GRS Program while Luis Vivanco is on sabbatical.  Building on the strong foundations of the Area and International Studies Program, GRS has been profoundly successful since its formal establishment in 2008.  My first and paramount goal over the year will be to ensure the smooth running of the program while Luis is away.  Beyond this, I look forward to working with the GRS faculty on programmatic activities for students and in efforts to build on the status and visibility that the program enjoys at UVM.
