Program
Gregory Gause, Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of
Middle East Studies in the Area and International Studies Program has
been awarded the Fall '07
Dean's Lecture Award
from the College of Arts
and Sciences.
"Greg Gause knew more about Middle Eastern history and politics
than most American scholars of international relations, long
before September 11, 2001, and that is why . . . he has become widely
recognized today as one of the most balanced and
trustworthy intellectual voices on the Middle East."
"...one of the greatest aspects of taking a class
with Professor Gause is that you are always learning. He is
entirely dedicated to teaching his students, and he does it in a way
that is entertaining, captivating, and most of all, incredibly
effective."
These are just a few of the comments made by colleagues and students of
Prof. Gause that help explain why this outstanding Associate Professor
of Political Science was chosen to receive the Fall 2007 Dean's Lecture
Award from the College of Arts and Sciences. This award is given each
semester to honor a faculty member who is recognized for excellence
both in the classroom and in the field.
