The Global and Regional Studies Program (GRS) at UVM provides an exciting opportunity for students to become part of today's expanding global domain.  For 45 years, (as Area & International Studies)  the program has promoted a wide variety of multidisciplinary endeavors promoting regional and global awareness, international development programs, and exciting career paths.  Under the umbrella of the newly expanded Global and Regional Studies Program, students major in one of six areas (see below) and/or may minor in one of eight areas of study.  Each GRS major comprises a broad range of essential interdisciplinary courses in political science, economics, business, history, literature, foreign language, art, geography, anthropology, and religion.  As such, graduates of our programs are prepared to enter exciting careers in government, business, law, journalism, or education and meet the needs of a broadening global vision.
