Wild Wild West!!!
I have had a lot of intereset in WILD WILD WEST, the remake of the
classic tv series, by Barry Sonnenfeld and starring Will Smith and
George Clooney.
The chief concern is that the film has been tooled away and no
longer reflects the original show. Well, NOPE. Anybody out there
remember a little fella on the show by the name of MIGUELITO?
That's right that little genius is behind the mischief in the film. I have
yet to hear who is being considered for the role, but personally his
character is written to be mighty annoying to our heroes. (just wait
till you see the Watermelon De-Juicer machine working away!!!)
Did you play with your Belt Buckle Derringer toy as a kid? Well dig it
out, cause it's back in operation, as is the super cool train car that
they travel by. Though Grant's train is even better. The film basically
details the "first adventure" between Jim and Artemus. Their
characters start off a bit awkward of one another, but as the film
goes, their relationship becomes more "best friendish" The big
question for me is whether or not Clooney can pull of the accents
his character adopts during some of his disguises, and can Will
Smith kickass with super Kung Fu moves? If they can, then watch
out. This film is written much better than MEN IN BLACK in my
opinion and builds on every sequence. This could be something
very special. I hope it's done correctly...
