On Friday, March 13, Abby just happened to stop by the Humane Society to look at the dogs, and fell in love with an animal of a whole different type!
A cat caught her attention, and seemed to be s
aying "take me to my home… your home"!
After Gary was dragged to the Humane Society to see the homeless kitty, he also was captivated by the animal (or perhaps put
under a spell?), and after asking if it wanted to live at their house (to which the kitty replied "MEOW!"), they both agreed to give the kitty a new home.
Unfortunately, the new cat is NOT a dog lover, and Phoebe the dog is still trying to deal with h
er new house-mate.
Once Max saw the kitty, it was love at first sight. After a discussion of the name for the new pet, all agreed upon "Sabrina", because she is a black cat adopted on a Friday the 13th.
Other names considered included
"Glinda", "Tabitha", and "Samantha", but after watching an episode of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch on ABC that night, the name seemed to fit.
