Q & a
Finding help
If you don't have a friend or colleague close by who will share some neighborly GIS help then you might first try some of the resources listed below. Our ESRI site license also designates 3 GIS specialists who are authorized to contact ESRI technical support in the event of a problem that cannot be addressed through other means or is likely caused by a bug or other defect in ESRI software.
Historically, we have needed to contact ESRI support a handful of times, but GIS problems are typically handled locally. If you think you have a problem that needs to be brought to the attention of ESRI tech support, you may present your issue to one of our authorized ESRI contacts. Be advised that your issue will not make progress with technical support before you perform due diligence in isolating the problem and making sure it is not caused by a problem with the computer itself, so you may as well jump through those hoops yourself before bringing it to the attention of an ESRI contact.GIS Help Resources
