Research

My main area of expertise is in mammary gland biology and lactation physiology. My research mainly focuses on the role of mammary glucose uptake in supporting milk production. Other interests include the role of Oct transcription factors in mammary development, milk gene expression and mammary tumorigenesis. My research is primarily aimed at the improvement of the productivity of dairy animals in agriculture and the discovery of the causes and possible cure of breast cancer in medicine.
