Opening weekend is design to make your transition into life at UVM easy and fun!

Take advantage of all the weekend's opportunities - check out all the extended hours available to you, familliarize yourself with the campus using one of our maps, and when all else fails - ask us questions. We're here to help!.

Welcome! Your first two weeks at school are broken down into three major components:

MOVE IN DAY

Friday, August 23rd - you'll unpack, meet your roomie(s), hang out with your floor and be guided through a number of activities with your RA (a.k.a. resident advisor).

OPENING WEEKEND

Friday, August 23 thru Sunday, August 25 - starting Friday night with the Campus Hop you will attend a lot of meetings, events and activities. Some of these are optional, others you can't miss. We want you to hang out with your new friends and also learn about our community at UVM.

WEEK OF WELCOME (a.k.a. WOW)

Monday, August 26 thru Thursday, September 5 - yup, it's more than a week, but there's something great happening every day and night. You can check out the /BORED calendar for the latest events (we're adding things all the time).
