Parking on Move-In Day
First and foremost, please arrive at the time designated in your room assignment email. While on campus, follow the instructions of the folks in bright orange vests. The goal is to drop your stuff off close to the res-hall then, before you unpack and settle in, move your car to a more permanent parking space.
Their is a special UVM shuttle bus schedule for Move-In Day so you'll have no trouble getting from Point A to Point B.
Students, please be prepared to say "goodbye" to your families by 4:00 p.m. You've got a busy night and weekend ahead of you!
Transportation at UVM
UVM Shuttle Buses are an easy way to get around - and since shuttles routes serve the entire campus, you'll be able to get to where you're going easily and quickly.
First year students are not permitted to have a car on campus. But don't worry - you can take the city buses for free with your UVM ID (a.k.a. the CATcard).
CarShare Vermont works closely with UVM to provide students convenient access to vehicles. In fact, they have cars parked on campus that you can check out. It's convenient and affordable.
The Megabus is a great way to get to Boston, NYC and places in between. Tickets are affordable, the bus picks up on campus and there's free wi-fi.
These and other transportation options are noted on the Parking and Transportation website.
