5 Tips for a Smooth

Move-In

1. Come at your scheduled time (emailed with your room assignment).
2. Learn the lay of the land - check out UVM's campus map.
3. Explore myResLife...
4. Log in with your UVM netid and password. The My Information box tells you your room assignment, room type, information about your residential complex, and a link to a parking pass (if your move-in day is Friday).
5. Pre-Order supplies (books, a computer, refrigerator, etc) from the UVM Bookstore.
   

Friday, August 23

• 8:00am – 4:00pm
  Class of 2017 Move In!
  Specific move-in times, between 8am and Noon, will be assigned to you based on your residence hall. Please refer to your email from Residential Life regarding your room assignment for details.
• 8:00am – 3:00pm
  Computer Pick-Up
  Davis Center - Mt. Mansfield Room
  If you ordered your computer through the UVM Computer Depot please come by and pick it up! That is... if it didn't get mailed home to you already.
• 11:30am – 2:30pm
  Rest Stop: ALANA (African Latino Asian Native American) Bi/Multicultural Student Center
  ALANA House
  Take a break from moving in! Students and their families can stop by the ALANA Center for a refreshing snack. Relax and talk with returning students who'll be there to answer to your questions.
• 4:00pm – 7:00pm
  Dinner/ RA Community Circle Meetings (Mandatory)
  See your RA for meal and meeting locations
  First time eating in the dining hall? Swipe your CATcard (Student ID) to get in, then chillax with your new roomies and floormates over dinner.
• 7:00pm-9:00pm
  Community Welcome Night!
  See your RA for Information
  Learn about all the fun activities that happen in your res hall.
• 10:00pm-1:00am
  The Campus Hop
  Campus is transformed into one big party. Roam with your friends - free food, fun games, live music and lots of giveaways on all four campuses.
