Communities on Campus

There are community centers on campus that focus on diversity and equity for students, staff and faculty. The ALANA Student Center, LGBTQA Center, and Women's Center allow for fun, intentional environments for programming and community building.

ALANA Center

The ALANA Center fully supports the holistic development of ALANA (African, Latin@, Asian, and Native American) and Bi/Multiracial students so that as confident students of color they attain their goals for academic achievement, personal growth, identity formation, and cultural development.

LGBTQA Center

The LGBTQA Center helps UVM be a vital, inclusive place for LGBTQA (Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender, Questioning, & Ally) students, faculty, and staff of all races, classes, ethnicities, genders, abilities, religions, gender identities, and sexual orientations through advocacy, outreach, and community building.

Women's Center

The Women's Center supports the social, professional, spiritual, physical, intellectual & emotional facets of women's lives. We empower women to become active leaders in their communities. The Center advocates, educates and provides direct service in support of women's equity and safety at the University and within the greater community. The Center serves as a resource and is committed to assisting the University in creating and fostering a diverse and inclusive campus community.
