First and second year students are required to live on campus to improve the adjustment, involvement and retention in the UVM community.

The Office of Student and Community Relations provides resources and support to UVM students living off campus so they will have successful experiences. OSCR can help with:

• Finding off campus housing
• Understanding your rental rights and responsibilities
• Connecting you with resources for navigating your off campus life
• Understanding Burlington ordinances
• Getting involved with the Burlington community
• Resolving conflicts with roommates, landlords, and neighbors
