The FST website now allows you to keep track of your ski days!

When you login, you'll see "Shred Log" added to your member links. My goal was to make the process as quick and easy as possible... so all you have to do is select the mountain you want to log a day to, and click 'submit'. You can perform the same task directly from your profile page. The Shred Log will allow you to pat yourself on the back at the end of the season and say "damn, I skied a lot this year", while also breathing a sigh of relief that your pass paid for itself tenfold.

A summary of your logged days will also appear on your profile page, so you can check in to see how often other people are going to the mountain, and answer questions like "who's the biggest ski bum on the team?"

 Hey guys, hopefully everyone had a nice break. I've added several new features to the website which you may have noticed. The media page is now paginated and you can sort by image category. When you're logged in, you're now able to rate submitted photos. I also improved the appearance of the forum. 

I'd encourage anybody looking for a ride, or offering a ride, to make use of the rideshare in the forum. Keep in mind, you can also use it if you're looking to carpool places other than Stowe (i.e. rides home). 

Most people have filled out their profiles, granted you don't have to if you don't want to, but just a reminder to fill yours out if you'd like to have one. Also as a reminder, you can now go into your account settings and choose your notification settings. By default, everyone is set to not receive website notifications. If you'd like updates on newly submitted videos, pictures, or forum threads, you'll need to login to change that.  

I try my best to catch bugs, but as always, please shoot me an email if something is blatantly not working for you, or if you have any ideas for new features or improvements.

STOWE FIRST TRICK RAIL JAM!!

December 5th, Stowe is hosting this rail jam from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. with music by Lotus Entertainment, lots of good prizes, and NO ENTRANCE FEE!  Keep an eye out for posters around campus...

The new forum is officially live on the website! I coded the whole thing from scratch which took a REALLY long time, so I definitely hope you guys get some good use out of it. 

At least a few of you have been taking advantage of the new image upload form (and there are some sick shots up that you should all check out). The video upload form and video page have now also been redone, so now anything you upload goes straight to the media page and can be commented on.

 The Snowboard Team has challenged the supremacy of the Freestyle Ski Team in the olympic sport of DODGEBALL!!

On Wednesday, November 11th, FST vs. UVMST will be going down in the Patrick Gym next to the track.  Things are going to get pretty intense, so everybody best bring their A-game.  We want everyone on the team to come out because they have more people, but we have more skillz.

I redid the media page from scratch. Once you are logged in, you can upload photos directly to the media page, and can also add comments to other people's photos. Clicking the uploader's name takes you directly to the uploader's profile, which also displays all of the photos that person has uploaded. I also redid the upload form (need to be logged in) so that it now includes a lot of optional fields to describe the photo. Expect more features soon.

Right now the photos page is feeling a little empty... it's still early in the season, but upload some shots if you have any!

 Hey all you wanna be FSTers and gypsies (returning members)...

Hope the summer wasn't too hard on you.  I know everyone was hiding in their basements watching the same ski movie on loop and posting their opinions to NS. Get ready for the new season starting...NOW! 

We are holding a meeting for returning and prospective members THIS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th in the BILLINGS LECTURE HALL/CC THEATRE AT 7:30.  Thats capitalized because it is a mandatory meeting for everyone who wants to be on the team for the 2009-2010 season.  If you can't come, email an officer.  If you do not come to the meeting and fill out an application, you will get a stern talking to and your likelihood of making the team will depreciate. 

The meeting won't be too long, and we will answer any and all your questions, no matter how stupid (except Will Curchin).  And we have a nice little video put together by Josh Blatt.

So, basically, COME TO BILLINGS LECTURE HALL AT 7:30 ON MONDAY!!!!!!!
