Fleming Museum Announces Spring Programming

BURLINGTON, VT- The Robert Hull Fleming Museum is pleased to announce an exciting schedule of programming to compliment the display of two exceptional print series: Francisco Goya's Los Caprichos and The Inferno of Dante by Michael Mazur. Among the many events are the Museum's Noontime Cafˇ presentation series, Sunday Gallery Talks and a suite of unique programs including an exclusive presentation by artist Michael Mazur and American Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky on their collaboration on The Inferno of Dante.

Noontime Cafe Program: The Sleep of Reason: Goya in Context

Film: L'Inferno (1911)
WHEN: SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 26; 3:00PM
WHAT: Giuseppe de Liguoro's L'Inferno (1911), the first full length Italian feature film ever made, takes a fantastic journey in to Dante's Inferno, complete with special effects and awe-inspiring set designs. Originally a silent film, it features a new soundtrack by Tangerine Dream. (71 min.)

Special Program: Town Meeting Poetry Reading

WHO: Burlington artists, writers, politicians and scholars read their favorite cantos from Dante's Inferno.
