I was so glad to receive your nice letter and to know that you liked the Christmas things. Someone told me that you were doing splendidly in reading. I think that is fine.

I hope that you will work hard in writing also so that you will be the best writer in your class.

Someday perhaps you will write to me and tell me about some of the good times you boys are having.
