Advanced Chemical Safety Training
This 3-hour training by Environmental Safety (ES) staff in
being held in Rowell 318 for the fall semester of 2006 and
covers the following areas:
1) Avoiding complacency about laboratory hazards,
2) The UVM laboratory self-inspection system,
3) A tour of the chemical waste management areas of the ESF,
4) Proper use of chemical fume hoods,
5) Chemical compatibility and storage, and
6) Laboratory emergency response planning.
This training is designed for laboratory supervisors and Chemical
Safety Officers with significant laboratory experience. It covers
both technical safety issues and management issues to help other
people in your laboratory work safely. This training takes place once
each month at the ESF.
Dates:
The 2nd Monday of each month although some dates may vary
from this pattern. See available dates on the sign up page

Location: Rowell 318
Attendance: 12 people max in each class
