Scott Holson - Technology Commercialization Advisor for Vermont SBDC - Biographical Sketch


Scott Holson is the Technology Commercialization Advisor for Vermont SBDC and helps small businesses who need guidance in Small Business Innovation Research and product or service commercialization assistance.

His career has spanned manufacturing of photo albums with the Holson Company in Wilton CT, ownership of a new and used car dealer, Holson Automotive in Rutland Vermont, ownership of a manufacturer of fruit preserves Vermont Preserves in Pittsford Vermont, retail management of a grocery store with the Upper Valley Food Coop in White River Junction, sold point of sale systems with The Computer Connection in White River Junction Vermont, managed the retail store and rug development of Tibetan rugs with Khawachen in Hanover, NH and consulted on government contracting with VtSBDC in Randolph Vermont

Scott is the technical coordinator for Horizons Observatory in Pomfret Vermont and assisted the program for over seven years and helped students of the elementary photograph over one hundred and fifty astronomical objects.

Scott is the current president of Our Court Tennis Club of White River Junction Vermont.

When he’s not working, playing tennis or running you might find him flying a remote control airplane or helicopter.

Scott received his BS at Western New England College, Springfield, Massachusetts.
