The 2013 Lake Champlain Research Consortium Student Symposium will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 starting at 8:00 am in Room 112, Aiken Building, at the University of Vermont. We welcome presentations by undergraduate and graduate students that focus on various aspects of the Lake Champlain Basin, or on related topics that have an aquatic or watershed emphasis. Presentations may cover topics in the natural sciences, social sciences, or humanities. Students who received research support from the LCRC in the past year are expected to present, but everyone is welcome to present or attend. Research may be completed, underway, or in the formative stages.
Oral presentations will be limited to 20 minutes, including time for questions. Poster presentations also are invited, and poster authors will be asked to briefly summarize their poster for the entire group. We ask all who attend to show their support for all students engaged in research by remaining for the entire program, if possible. Lunch will be provided.
Students interested in presenting their research should provide the following information to Jason Stockwell (
) on or before April 5, 2013:
- Student name
- Type of presentation (oral or poster)
- Title of presentation
- Name of faculty advisor
- Department and school
- Abstract of less than 250 words
- Number of guests attending with you (so we can plan accordingly).
