Tropical Storm Irene Update
Lesley-Ann Dupigny-Giroux
September 1st, 2011
Hi everyone

I hope that all of your loved ones and friends up and down the eastern seaboard
are all safe and sound in Irene's aftermath. I just wanted to update you on a
number of resources and happenings around related to the ongoing recovery effort.

With my State Climatologist hat on I have been trying to serve as a centralized
location for the science behind tropical systems in Vermont, hazard recovery
resources and data collection efforts. I have set up a page at:
http://www.uvm.edu/~vtstclim/?Page=Irene_flooding_2011.html .
It contains the
Center for Research on Vermont blog that Cherie created to capture the oral
stories of affected Vermonters; GIS-based crowd-sourcing set up by Bill Morris
(who was the last RA to work with me); photo galleries and other sites that my
colleagues from state agencies have sent in.

If you run across any other Irene-related resources that would benefit folks in
this recovery phase and beyond, please let me know.

Best regards and I hope that your semester has started off swimmingly!
