Distance learning, correspondence courses and online classes are increasingly popular methods of obtaining advanced education and are often the only way citizens can complete specialized programs of study locally and in a cost-effective manner.
The EPC will administer and proctor exams as a courtesy for other educational institutions and organizations as the schedule permits and availability of authorized staff. The EPC can administer computer-based, listening, and standard paper-based exams. Exams will be administered based on the exam source's instructions and specifications.
Starting September 1, 2009, any UVM student or UVM alumni who wishes to utilize this service for a course that is not a UVM course will be responsible for the fee(s).

The examinee must bring picture identification, payment, and any materials required by the exam source.
