EcoQuest New Zealand
Location: Field station located north of Kaiaua, New Zealand, North IslandWhen: Fall and Spring semesters, and a shorter summer program Language: Taught in English Program Type: External Program; Special Features: In Partnership with the University of New Hampshire Department of Natural Resources, the Ecoquest program in New Zealand provides an ideal context for multi-faceted field studies in ecology, and a natural laboratory of unique geology, and ecosystem diversity and island biogeography. This program is a rigorous field based program with a focus on practical skills, conceptual thinking, and an opportunity to contribute to local conservation and resource management initiatives through service learning and Directed Research Projects. Oaxaca, Mexico Three separate tracks: science and art, food systems or Spanish language; includes field-based trips and homestay experience with a small group of students to learn the culture of Mexico and practice your Spanish. Courses will enable students to develop a better understanding of the economic, political, cultural, agricultural, historical and artistic forces influencing life today in Mexico. Course instruction is in English except for Spanish language courses.
