We celebrated the Environmental Program's
40th Anniversary with events on October 5 - 6, 2012
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5
- ENVS Alumni Panel in ENVS 001, 10:40 - 12:00,
Billings Lecture Hall
ENVS alumni spoke about their time in the Program and what they have done since graduating! The panel was followed by an informal reception for students and alums in Billings Martin Luther King Lounge. - Current ENVS Student Panel for alumni, 3:00 - 4:00 pm, Davis Center, Chittenden Bank Room

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6
- ENVS Community Work Parties: Farm, Forest, Lake, 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Meet at Bittersweet House. If driving, park in Allen House lot across Prospect St.
Join ENVS alumni, students, faculty and staff in the fun and rewards of working together on local service projects
(CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WEATHER)
There were three work parties to choose from:- Farm: Spend the afternoon at Digger's Mirth Collective Farm with farmer, and ENVS alum, S'ra DeSantis pulling carrots, weeding, and learning more about how a collective farm works.
- Forest: Head over to Centennial Woods, one of UVM's Natural Areas, to finish construction of a boardwalk on one of the trails in the woods and learn some of the history of the woods from ENVS student Sam Hubert.
- Lake: Come work with Lauren Chicote of the Winooski Valley Park District and the Nature Conservancy to learn how to identify and remove invasive plants at the Ethan Allen Homestead.
- Environmental Program 40th Anniversary Gala Reception 4:00 - 6:30 pm, Davis Center, Mt. Mansfield Room
