Sustainability Studies Concentration

In recent years a trend has emerged in environmental curricula to offer programs in Sustainability Studies to meet market needs for employable graduates rained in a wide variety of sustainability skills and knowledge. UVM is a national leader in campus sustainability with strong collaborative relationships with the Environmental Program, other academic and operations units, the greater Burlington community, and beyond. We now offer a cohesive synthesis of courses to give students a broad understanding and skills to address the challenges we face in sustaining the health of our life support systems.

This concentration within the ENVS major includes both required and elective courses, and a 3-credit practicum to apply skills and knowledge. ENVS 201 and 202 are waived for this non-thesis track.
