Southern Provinces: Fars, Kerman, Iran Late February and in March   The 1st & 2nd instar nymphs appeared in April   April is the time for chemical treatment against this pest. M. Javahery

Aleppo, Syria Overwintering adults were first observed moving to the wheat fields on March 2nd. Egg laying was first observed on March 25 As of April 22, nymphs are present in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd instar Leaf damage can be seen on average every 2-3 meters, and the same for spike damage.   Bill Reid

Idlib, Syria Beginning of March; Overwintering adults returned to the fields within ten days. March 19, with some infected egg with parasitoids from Al-Hassakeh, Syria on April 3 We have nymphs in 2nd instar as of April 23, and in some places 3rd instar. Leaf damage can be seen clearly The ministry started to spray some fields in Idlib with Decis pesticide on the 15th of April but stopped after two days because of rain and cold weather. Afghanistan It is different in each province. As of May 1st, in many provinces over wintered adults have reached the wheat fields. Yes, as of May 1st. Yes, at the first and second stages. Damage is high. More than 6 adults per square, and in some places more than 10 adults per square. The damage is high on shoots and spikes.
