Lyme disease is a multi-system bacterial infection transmitted by deer ticks. This graph shows the history of confirmed cases of Lyme disease in Vermont residents who have most likely been exposed to the disease while in Vermont. The number of cases reported gives an indication as to how widespread the disease has rapidly become in our state.
