While the victim is not affiliated with UVM, it is important to stay alert and travel in and around the campus with caution. Please adhere to the following safety tips:

  • Be aware of your surroundings at all times
  • Keep your head up while walking and stay alert -- not distracted by cell phone or iPod
  • Travel with friends or colleagues
  • Walk in well-lit areas
  • Use the shuttle or CCTA bus system
  • If you have to travel alone, let someone know your departure and arrival time
  • Report suspicious activities to Police Services

It is always important to take care of your personal safety and the safety of others. I will provide the campus with additional information if/when it becomes available.
