Request a Program
The Eco-Reps Program is dedicated to supporting the UVM community in
their sustainable living goals. We have several means for
bringing these messages to your audience. There is no fee for
our
programs, but you may need to help collect and/or pay for any necessary
materials if applicable. A two-week notice is requested.
We have a variety of venues for bringing in an educational
program
as well as a multitude of sustainable living programs available to be
presented to your group. See below for a listing of venues as
well as Program/Activity Ideas. However, if you are
interested in
a sustainabile living presentation that has a different focus than
those listed, please contact us to explore the possibilities.
Program Venues:
- Guest Speaker
– for faculty/staff/students facilitating classes, group,
clubs, student organizations
If you are interested in having a guest speaker present on various or
specific areas of sustainable living practices, please review our list
of suggested topics and contact us to coordinate a visit to your
classroom or organization. Advanced notice is required.
- Collaborative
Programming – for groups looking to develop
programs with us
Are you a department, student group, or just someone who’d
like to develop a sustainable living project together? The
Eco-Reps Program wants to get involved! Contact us with
Collaborative Programming ideas. We’re interested
in working with others who are dedicated to educating, motivating, and
activating UVM students towards critical and reflective thought,
activism, and education around issues that impact personal, community,
and global sustainability.
- Co-Sponsorship
– for individuals or groups looking to add
more to their current programming
If you are interested in co-sponsoring an event or are interetested in
adding a "green" component to one of your programs, please contact us
and let us know.
- Res. Hall Program -
for RAs and Hall Councils
Each Eco-Rep is required to co-host one event per semester with either
their Hall Council or an RA.
Program/Activity Ideas:
- General sustainable living practices –
presentation & discussion. Can be tailored for on or off-campus
students.
- Waste Sort – Find out how well your
community is
doing with recycling and composting. Community participation
required.
- Eco-Trivia – A fun way to quiz your community on
their eco-knowledge.
- Green Your Event – Eco-Reps can help consult on
ways to
green your event from products used to food choices to recycling and
compost assistance. We strive to make events "Waste Free". Ask us how!
