Dining Hall Survey
Every
year, the Eco-Reps go and take a look at the various dining options on
campus to observe and make a few recommendations. See their recommendations here.
Eco-Reps Symposium @ Tufts University
On
Saturday, November 7th, three UVM Eco-Reps and program coordinator,
Christina, went to Tufts University to spend the day with Eco-Reps from
15 other campuses around the northeast. See the schedule and photos here.

Food Waste Weigh In: Year Three
For
the past 3 years, the Eco-Reps have weighed the food waste from a
week's worth of dinners at Simpson Dining Hall. The good news is that
food waste per person is down from 2007 when trays were still in use on
campus. See the results here.

Community Based Social Marketing Project
A new project this year is for each team of Eco-Reps to conduct a community based social marketing (CBSM) project. (see project description)

Bulb Swaps
Once again, the Eco-Reps are going door-to-door swapping out light bulbs, this fall in CBWC, Harris/Millis, McAuley & WDW. See results from previous swaps.
DC Waste Sort
For
the third year in a row, Eco-Reps conducted a large waste sort in front
of the Davis Center on October 7, 2009. See the results from this year's sort, along with how they compare to previous years.
MRF Tour
Several
of the Eco-Reps went a tour of the Materials Recovery Facility-- or MRF
(rhymes with smurf), to see first-hand where and how our recyclables

Davis Center Farmers' Market
Our
Davis Center Eco-Rep, Phil Fandel, organized the second farmers' market
on the Davis Center lawn on September 23rd with plenty of local food
vendors as well as live music.
Health & Wellness Seminars
Our
returning Eco-Reps attended three sessions of the Health & Wellness
RLC seminars to talk about sustainable living practices in September.
Allen House Picnic Compost Assistance
A few Eco-Reps lent a hand with composting to our LBGTQA friends at Allen House for their annual picnic in September.
Student Activities Fest Tabling
Eco-Reps
spread the word about what we do and how to stay in touch with campus
sustainability projects at the annual Student Activities Fest in
September.
