A student in the College of Arts and Sciences
may
apply for College
Honors
in a particular subject if, at the end of the junior year, he or she
has
a grade point average of at least 3.2 and has been on the Dean's List
for three semesters. The program must have been approved by the
sponsoring
department and the committee on Honors and Individual Studies one week
after the first day of classes of the candidate's senior year.
Students
must present a satisfactory written report and pass an oral examination
upon completion of the honors project.
