Where science gets done

Seward Research Lab

Seward Lab

We study metabolism and cell signalling in the context of cancer. Specific projects are inspired and informed by clinical observations that promote a "bedside to bench to bedside" paradigm. Our ultimate goal is to establish functional genomic pipelines for assessing somatic Variants of Uncertain Significance (VUS) identified clinically in patients with solid tumors. Utilizing cutting edge molecular techniques we aim to provide real-time pre-clinical assessment of private variants that may inform clinical oncologic practice and provide patients with access to clinical trials.

Research Philosophy

Successful projects begin with an interesting question, but only progress with dedication.
