What is your role at UVM?
As part of the divisional leadership team, I am proud to support the various departments within University Relations & Campus Life.  Together, we create an outstanding experience for our students through thoughtful planning and consistent multiculturally focused experiential learning.  Working with a skilled team of Directors and Business Managers, I oversee the division's resources. This includes all contractual relationships, financial and budget analysis, human resource practices (affirmative recruitment, restorative practices for staff, policy, operating procedures, constructive discipline, etc.).  In addition, I have the pleasure of working with University Dining Services (Sodexo) as we partner to bring our campus a high quality and diverse dining program.

What do you like most about UVM?
Overall, I truly enjoy working on a college campus.  College and university communities are full of hopes and dreams and I enjoy being a part of the life planning that takes place here.  In addition, I adore my colleagues.  Like any work environment, I have my days but truly, I love coming to work.  UVM is a diverse and exciting place to be.

What do students need to know to succeed at UVM?
Find your voice. Students can get lost on this campus so get involved, make friends and stay active. Use the support systems available and if you don’t know what to do, come to the Dean of Students Office and we will help you find your way.

Anything else?
Besides working with college students, I love working with kids.  In my "other life", I volunteer with Vermont's Camp Ta-Kum-Ta - a camp for kids with cancer.  I call it my "heart work".  I believe we all need to be better at balancing life and for me, Camp provides that balance.
