ALANA Student Awards
The Dean of Students Office is once again seeking nominations for the ALANA Awards, which will be presented in Spring 2012. These awards are given to 2 undergraduate students and 1 graduate student who best exemplify the following award criteria:
Emerging Student Award
Recognizes a first or second year student.
Student(s) who achieve successful balance between academic, personal development, and community engagement and demonstrate potential for long-lasting impact on the University of Vermont.Student Supporting Students Award
Recognizes a junior/senior and/or graduate student.
Student(s) who demonstrate a deep commitment to academic excellence and community values and who inspire others to meet the challenges of being a student of color on a predominantly white campus.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 6th, 2012
Selection of the recipients of these awards is based on outstanding service on or off campus through participation in voluntary, selected, and/or elected co-curricular activities with an emphasis on quality of participation. We ask your assistance in identifying students deserving of such recognition. A student may nominate another student, but no self-nominations will be accepted.
All Nominations must be submitted by April 6th, 2012 at 5pm
