Patience E. Whitworth
Assistant Dean for Assessment, Student Learning, and Technologypatience.email@example.com
What is your role at UVM?
I work with the departments at UVM to develop strong assessment and technology plans to improve practice and policy within the Division of University Relations and Campus Life. I also coordinate the assistantship placement process for the Higher Education and Student Affairs program.
What do you like most about UVM?
UVM students have an outstanding educational experience inside and outside of the classroom. The faculty, staff, and students at UVM are a great community that are committed to improving the student experience. We do all this in the beauitful setting of Burlington, Vermont. I love coming to work and seeing Lake Champlain at the bottom of the hill and driving home and looking and the beautiful green mountains of Vermont.
What do students need to know to succeed at UVM?
Take advantage of the university environment. Get to know a professor outside of the classroom. Attend lectures on topics that are new to you. Get invovled! Work hard to make the best of your time here inside and outside of the classroom.
