Local Directions to Matthews' Lab
LOCAL DIRECTIONS coming from the EAST (driving WEST) from South Burlington (Williston Rd, Route 2) or the Airport:

The top of this map is EAST and the left is NORTH
1. You are on Williston Rd coming from the east.  Immediately after you go over the I-89 overpass, you will see the Sheraton on the northwest corner & a stop light.
2. Immediately after the Sheraton are two traffic lights in close succession (East Ave & Spear St).  Williston Rd changes its name to Main St at this point.  Immediately after the two lights is a road that peels off to the right (north) into UVM.  Take this entrance into UVM.
3. At the next traffic light, turn left (west) onto Carrigan Dr.  You will see the water tower immediately in front of you.
4. To get to the parking meters for Visitor Parking, turn left around the corner.

Location of the Cook Building:
5. To get to the Cook Building, you have to walk down the driveway between the Stafford and HSRF buildings, around the corner past Rowell and the Hills Buildings.
6. In front of you is first the back of the library on the left and the Cook Building beyond it on the right. UVM map around Cook
7. The Cook Physical Sciences Building is a long, 5-story, brown-brick building built in 1969.
It is distinctive with the myriad of fume-hood ducts across the top of the building.
The departments of Chemistry and Physics are located in Cook.
8.   Dr. Matthews' office is in the Chemistry Main Office on the 2nd floor, Room A205.
The laboratory is the last door on the left on the 1st floor on the north end, Room A113.
