Centers and Initiatives

Campus Children's Center: The UVM Campus Children's Center is an early education and care program for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The Center's missions is four-fold: It is dedicated to serving the children and their families who are enrolled at the Center, it provides an internship site for early childhood teacher education majors, it serves as a professional development resource for the early childhood community, and it serves as a center of scholarship on issues related to curriculum and early development. The program is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs.
Extension Service: Located throughout the state, University of Vermont Extension links you to UVM and provides timely, research-based information and education. We strive to educate individuals and families, strengthen communities, and support agriculture and the environment. Click on the link to visit the University of Vermont's Extension Service website.
COPE: Is a A Collaborative Program of Vermont Family Court & University of Vermont Extension. To learn more about this four-hour educational program click on the link to go to the COPE webpage. This seminar focuses on the needs of children during such times of stress. Required by the Family Court for divorcing and separating parents, the seminars are conducted by qualified faculty from the University of Vermont Extension and other trained professionals.
