Expertise: Holistic education; history of educational alternatives
Ron Miller is the author of What Are Schools For? Holistic Education in American Culture; and editor of Educational Freedom for a Democratic Society: a Critique of National Educational Goals, Standards and Curriculum. He is publisher of a new magazine, Paths of Learning: Options for Families and Communities. He was the founding editor of Holistic Education Review and the book review publication Great Ideas in Education and is currently writing a book on the history of the free school movement. He is president the board of directors of an independent elementary school (The Bellwether School) in Williston, Vermont.
