Welcome to the Ultimate Debate Textbook
Every debater has notes about how to do better. Every debate teacher has instructional material they use. Every debate judge has ideas about what debaters should do to improve their performances. Ross Smith of Wake Forest University in the USA had an idea: If we could put them all together we would have the ultimate debate textbook.
Debateoneworld.org, the Lawrence Debate Union at the University of Vermont, the World Debate Institute and the World Debate Organization are the sponsors of this cooperative effort to bring the best in debate instruction to every citizen of the world.
While Debateoneworld has solicited and coordinated this information, the vast majority of it comes from teachers, coaches, students, former debaters and others who have contributed. Each and every page is open to your contribution. Create new pages as you like.
All we ask is that you be a registered user and that you use your real email address and a real name. We want people to get credit for what they contribute.
Let us know if we can assist you in using this website.
