Maya Curtis, a Boston native who still does not know how to dress for the cold weather is currently a junior studying Community Entrepreneurship and minoring in Applied Design. She has no idea what exactly she'll do with this degree, but hopefully it will bring her some place sunny and warm where she can do something with publication design.
She loves bright colors, making chocolate chip cookies solely for the purpose of eating the dough, mexican food, yoga, running, documentaries about random things, spanish inspired architecture and the ocean. Her favorite artists range from Jean-Michel Basquiat to Paul Klee and El Anatsui.
Emily Gluckin grew up in Wilton, Connecticut, excluding a chunk of time spent living in Zurich, Switzerland. She is currently a junior majoring in Environmental Studies and Studio Art, and minoring in Green Building and Community Design. In the future she hopes to be doing something that involves a fusion of sustainable concepts and design.
She enjoys going to concerts, being in the woods, finding new and interesting restaurants to go to, doodling, traveling, and milkshakes. She has been told that her spirit animal is a sloth.
This is her first year as an art curator in the Davis Center. She enjoys the technical aspects and the process that goes into creating any type of art. Her favorite forms of art are drawing and photography, and her favorite artist is currently Edward Hopper.
