Cydney Williams grew up in Livingston, New Jersey. She is currently a senior majoring in Art Education and minoring in Psychology. In the future she hopes to inspire children to express themselves creatively.
She enjoys practicing yoga, listening to music, drinking tea, traveling, and creating and critiquing artwork.
This is her second year as an art curator in the Davis Center. Cydney loves to discover new artwork and explore contemporary artists. She loves color and particularly interested in paintings and multimedia pieces. Currently, her favorite artist is Polly Apfelbaum.
Sean Bayles was born in New York City before moving to Sydney, Australia at age eight. He returned to the USA in 2012 to attend UVM. He is now a senior majoring in Studio Art and minoring in Art History, Philosophy and Music.
He enjoys painting, working in clay, playing and writing music as well as cooking and eating. Some of his main artistic influences include Alberto Giacometti, Alice Neel, Toma Abts, Stanley Clarke and UVM's own Steve Budington.
This will be Sean's first year as art curator in the Davis Center. He loves when art retains its grit, and tries to embrace this philosophy in all aspects of his life.
