The Thermopile is one of the earliest devices used to measure radiant energy. W.W. Coblentz introduced a circular and linear thermopile and who then arranged for the Eppley Laboratory to produce them commercially. (1) Coblentz also made observations on the radiation from planets(2,3). | |
