Yard Standard

The adjustments document describes this brass yard as a "line and an end measure".  A "matrix" is formed by the brass block at either end of the yard and defines the end measure. The yard scale is standard at 58.9 degrees Farenheit while the bottom of the matrix is standard at 66.9 degrees.
"No. 21"  This number does not appear to have a connection to the other items described in the adjustments document.
At either end of the yard are two brass blocks that form a "matrix".  The blocks are tapered out towards the ends from bottom to top by .03".
