Nov 2003 Solar Flares
Hydrogen alpha filter photograph of the sun. Solar prominence faintly in the 7 o'clock position. Large sunspots visble in the upper hemisphere probably the location of flares that caused northern light activity.
Same phot as above, but in false color. Prominence is more visible as is a fainter one above the 3 o'clock position.
