Sections of BaseCamp Software and their uses for our LMS Project Work:

Overview: gives a general overview of the project itself and shows all of the to-dos, messages, writeboard, etc.

Messages: use this area of base camp to post messages to the group, like a discussion board.

To Do: this is an area to assign action items, tasks to individuals on the team, incl. yourself.

Milestones: scheduled meeting times, focus group sessions, go live dates, training dates.

Writeboards: place to make lists and topics for group review, comments, like a wiki interface. it saves previous versions and edits.

Chat: not using yet.

Time: not using...tracking project time in Harvest.

Files: place to upload project related files. For example: meeting notes, meeting agendas, documents of interest to the group.
