- Safari Tech Books Online Catalog - This may turn out to be the best thing you got with your tuition. Hundeds of books accessible online, including EVERY (more than 1500 of them!) O’Reily book you can think of. If you’re going to learn a language, platform , project management technique, or anything else, go here.
- Why’s (Poignant) Guide to Ruby - also available in other formats if you look around.
- Practical Common Lisp by Peter Siebel – beastly introduction to functional programming and common lisp, build your own MP3 Player like 1/4 of the way in.
- Learn You a Haskell for Great Good by Mirian Lipovaca – Do it, free to read on line, doubble-plus fun.
- Ruby on Rails Tutorial by Micheal Hartl – Huge free rails tutorial, build yourself a twitter.
- Learn C the Hard Way by Zed Shaw – Good tutorial for C (other Learn $LANGUAGE the Hard Way books are also on this site).
