The Board of Editors of
the Center
for Research on Vermont invites the submission of manuscripts to be
considered for publication in its Occasional Papers series. The purpose
of the series is to provide an outlet for worthwhile work on Vermont
research topics that may not find an audience through other channels.
Although past Occasional Papers have been drawn from the social
sciences and humanities, the Editors emphasize that they will consider
manuscripts from any discipline on a topic relating to issues,
problems, or ideas originating in, or especially affected by the
context of, Vermont. This would include the special impact on Vermont
of national or international events or developments. Submissions in the
sciences, the arts, and other fields not previously represented are
especially encouraged.
Manuscripts are refereed, and editorial suggestions and critiques may
be extended to assist authors with revision. Papers are distributed at
cost.

Format: The suggested length is between 35 and 75 double-spaced pages;
for preferred styling rules, see
The
Chicago Manual of Style; graphs, tables, and
black-and-white
illustrations may be included.
Audience: The Center for Research on Vermont membership, which includes
researchers in all disciplines; other informed Vermonters, such as
legislators and educators.
