alumni Working Towards a Strengthened CREAM ALUMNI Association

Presently, the on-campus CREAM Alumni group is working to expand the Alumni Association outside of campus and to create an active formal board.  The purpose of the formal board will be to promote CREAM outside of the University of Vermont and to serve as a liaison between current and former CREAMers.  In addition, the formal board will hopefully plan some fun events for CREAM participants, perhaps even a trip to Ireland to look at their CREAM program.  More info about CREAM in Ireland can be found at http://www.ruralni.gov.uk/index/livestock/livestock_dairy/dairy_cafre/cream_herd.htm.  Generally, the purpose of the formal board will be to make the outstanding core of CREAM even better.

The existing on-campus alumni committee has been involved with the promotion of CREAM and has created an impressive display and brochure that showcase the extraordinary experience CREAM offers students at UVM.  The Alumni Association works on fundraising and the planning of social functions, such as CREAM's 25th anniversary held at the Ellen A. Hardacre Equine Center at the Miller Rsearch Farm in the fall of 2013.  The on-campus alumni have also given advice and support to the current CREAM group.

In order to facilitate communication between alumni, CREAM has established a listserve.  If you are interested in joining it, please send an email to listserv@uvm.edu.  In the body of the email write:  Subscribe CREAM [your full name, e.g.John Barlow].  That’s all you need to do!  Shortly, afterward you will receive a confirmation email and will then be a member of the listserve.  Please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Barlow with regard to any of these current endeavors. Your input would be greatly appreciated in order to help ensure the future success of CREAM
