Building Partnerships for Employee & Workforce Development

This workshop discussed ways to build partnerships between employers and workforce development agencies and advocates to provide employment opportunities where they are most needed while meeting institutional needs for qualified workers. Examples included institution-based mentoring programs for individuals moving from public assistance into jobs and for those with disabilities, as well as partnerships that greatly increase the information about job opportunities available to those residents who often have the least access to such information or jobs.
