Donepezil vs placebo in a
1-year multinational clinical trial
Donepezil HCl significantly improved cognition vs placebo as measured by MMSE scores in a 1-year, multinational clinical trial.

• MMSE sores of ARICEPT® -treated patients in this 1-year, placebo-controlled clinical trial remained at or near baseline during a 1-year period.

• ARICEPT® produced statistically significant improvements vs placebo from Week 24 through Week 52.

• At Week 52, MMSE scores of patients receiving placebo had declied a mean of 2.2 points from baseline. This decline is consistent with the expected decline of 2 to 4 points in MMSE scores of untreated mild to moderate AD patients.
