Julie Dumas
Research Assistant Professor

Julie Dumas, Ph. D. is a Research Assistant Professor in the Clinical Neuroscience Research Unit at the University of Vermont. She got her B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1996 and her Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002. Before coming to the CNRU she was a Visiting Assistant Professor and Research Scholar in Psychology at Middlebury College.

Dr. Dumas' previous research experience has been in the area of cognitive aging. Specifically she has investigated age differences in working memory and temporal memory. At the CNRU she is involved in the studies on the interactions of estrogen and the cholinergic system in post-menopausal women and the fMRI study examining brain cholinergic systems associated with cognitive task performance.
