Clinical and advanced placement information and applications for internal transfer applicants are available from Interim Director of Athletic Training Education Kelly Tourville. External transfer applicants may download or request an undergraduate application from the Office of Admissions.
All transfer applicants must review the essential functions for athletic training majors outlined in the CNHS Undergraduate Student Handbook. College of Nursing and Health Sciences students must be able to meet these standards either with or without reasonable accommodations, and must review the handbook and sign and return the signature page to the Office of Student Services.
Admitted students will be notified prior to the start of the subsequent semester but not prior to the pre-registration period.

First-year athletic training majors must apply to the clinical portion of the program at the end of the first year. The clinical portion of the program is selective and space is limited. Please note that meeting the minimum admissions requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the clinical program. A competitive review of applicants by the Athletic Training Education Committee takes place at the end of each academic year.
Additional fees: There are costs associated with being enrolled in the UVM Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP). These include but are not limited to: lab fees, personal liability insurance, immunization maintenance, apparel to adhere to dress code(s), and travel to and from off-campus clinical assignments and internships. Read a detailed breakdown of these costs.
