Students in their sophomore, junior and senior year are assigned to an advisor within their major. You can find out the name of your academic advisor by going to the Registrar's Office website and logging into your student account.
Students are encouraged to contact their advisor regularly; at the beginning of each semester and before registering for courses. Your faculty advisor understands the intricacies of your curriculum and will serve as a great resource to you throughout your time in the CNHS.
Faculty advisors expect that you will come to meetings with a solid understanding of your curriculum and the requirements related to your major. Your program handbook and curriculum can be found on your department webpage. Prior to meeting with your advisor you should review your CATS Audit. In order to utilize the advisor/advisee relationship, make sure you are prepared with questions before the meeting. Your advisor can provide you with their perspective and help you to make informed decisions.
During the spring semester of your third year, meet with your advisor to complete the Intent to Graduate form for your fourth/senior year. Advisor approved Intent to Graduate forms should be returned to the Office of Student Services, 002 Rowell.
